Because of a coagulation of interesting events (ie. snow and Black History Month assemblies) we are off on our schedule; however, we will move forward as planned. That means that we begin our discussion of Chopin's The Awakening on MONDAY, March 2nd. Be prepared!

Enjoy! Please ensure that you have completed the explication of the Patmore excerpt, found below, by the time you arrive on Tuesday, 2/24. Also attached are the assignment and test for Charlotte Perkins Gilman's short story, The Yellow Wallpaper. Please make sure you have completed your read through of the story and know what you want to say about symbolism and tone when you arrive at my door on Wednesday, 2/25. Here is our schedule, along with project and paper guidelines, for our next unit. If you can locate a copy of Chopin's The Awakening for your own personal use, please do so as the school currently only has 75 copies. It should be available for free online and all types (electronic, hard copy, whateves...) are acceptable. Please be aware that we spoke also at the start of the semester about you acquiring a copy of Williams' play, Streetcar Named Desire. There are several in our school library and if you are absolutely not going to be able to obtain one please see me ASAP. Day One: 2/23 Day Two: 2/24 Day Three and Four: 2/25-2/26 Day Five-Twelve: 2/27-3/10 Day Thirteen-Nineteen: 3/11-3/20
Hello darling ones!
I hope you are enjoying your day off! Despite that fact, I would like to remind you that we are scheduled to have our test tomorrow. We will be following that schedule as I will be out Thursday and Friday. Please be prepared when you arrive at my door to both annotate and write. Any and all templates, previous writings, and notes are available for your use (except for poetry term definitions). Happy snow day! Here is an example of well organized, brilliantly articulated, textually supported words in relation to Sometime Around Midnight. Use as helpful. Enjoy!
