Please be prepared for our unit four vocab quiz on WEDNESDAY, 8/29. As it is an early release day we will have a shortened quiz. It will be formatted as follows:
1-10 Definitions 11-20 Synonyms Happy vocab-ing! We will have out Rhetorical Analysis test on THURSDAY, 8/30.
It will cover the following terms: anaphora, rhetorical question, asyndeton, polysyndeton, parallelism, simple sentence, cumulative sentence, periodic sentence, juxtaposition, balanced sentence, repetition, metaphor, allusion, antithesis, complex sentence It will be formatted as follows: 1-5 Terms (match term to definition) 6-10 Examples (match textual example to term) 11-20 Movements (match movement name to characteristic) 21-30 Cold Reading (identify devices from a cold read of a passage; multiple choice) 31 Short Answer (rhetorical analysis of cold reading) Happy thinking! Here is the Power Point we reviewed on FRIDAY, 8/22. It will be important to know the elements and characteristics of each movement for our unit test on THURSDAY, 8/30.
